    Story:

Mel:       Dad, it beats all how you drag us to so many battlefields and old sites. This looks like Hastings, also known as Battle.

Dad:       Well, you know me. I long have wanted to see where the Battle of Hastings actually occurred.

Wes:       For me, I like exploring the Castle. Whadaya [What do you] prefer, Mom?

Mom:       I would like to see Battle Abbey and Beachy Head.

[They also see the chalk Cliffs of Dover before stopping for the night.]

Molly:     Good evening, we are pleased that you chose to stay at our Bed and Breakfast. Dinner will be on the table in 30 minutes. Your rooms are ready upstairs.

Mom:       Thank you. We had good references about this place. What time is breakfast?

Molly:       Usually at 7 O'clock. Will you be visiting Stonehenge?

Wes:       That's the plan. But, we'll catch some shuteye first.

Molly:     Excuse me. What did you say?

Wes:       Catch a few zzs. Go to sleep.

Molly:     Oh. You have a rather odd manner of speech.

[They all have a good laugh. After a typical light breakfast, they wave farewell and drive to Stonehenge.]

Mel:       Stand still, Wes, so I can snap a picture of you in front of Stonehenge.

Wes:       Are you bent on getting pictures for your Facebook page?

Mel:       Maybe. Anyway, you'll get a bang out of my computer work.

Mom:       Hurry up, Dad wants to visit Avebury and Silbury Hill.

Mel:       Can we see the Uffington Horse?

Mom:       No doubt. He's no slouch in stopping at tourist and historical sites. We certainly get an opportunity to tour the world!

[Dad drives the rental car to visit Stratford-upon-Avon and an ancient Roman wall in northern England. Click here to see the following story: Hadrian's Wall.]
