Story Synopsis:
      A multiple murderer flummoxes the police and stymies Nero Wolfe before the rotund genius contrives a shoestring exposé. Archie Goodwin gets the investigation rolling by entertaining ten women in the greenhouse and to a Fritz Brenner dinner. He later is enamored with and aided by a plump housewife when Wolfe resorts to sending Archie to Los Angeles, California.
